Flashback Friday

I figured if I can post pictures of myself at early, embarassing stages, I should be able to post some of Sean too... So here they are!

This is Sean at 1 year. Isn't he cute!

Sean at 7 years

Again, Sean at 7 years. He loved sleeping with his duck.

I had to post this one because it's the infamous "butt cut." He is the one closest to the camera. Yikes.

This one is for you Dan!

Flashback Saturday

Pictures of Sean and I while dating...

This picture was probably taken about a week after Sean and I met, so the beginning of September, 2003. We wanted to go for a walk in the gardens, and I wanted some pictures to send home to my family so they could see the guy I was dating. We had someone take this picture for us. When I sent it home to my family my mom said "Are you going to marry this boy! It looks like an engagement picture!" I suppose it does...but at least its a good picture that we can look back on and remember what we looked like when we met. And yes, Sean's hair is bleached...

This picture is probably about 6 months into our relationship. He went to only "tipping" his hair because I suppose that was the cool thing to do...right?

This picture is the Fourth of July, so 10 months after we met, and his hair is all one color! Yay!

This picture was probably taken a little after a year of dating. Not really much else to say about this one...

Flashback Friday...I mean Wednesday

So I haven't posted for a bit because I keep forgetting! Life is crazy! Anyway, here is last week's Flashback!

When I was in high school, my boyfriend's neighbor and priest quorum advisor was a really good photographer. He asked me if I could do him a favor. "Sure..." I said...a little hesitant. He said "Can I please take your Senior Pictures, print you one of each for free, put them in an album and can you take it to the high school and show it around and advertise for me?" I didn't have to think very long before I said "Uh...YES!" So, I got my senior pictures done for free...all 150 of them...and I only had to buy what I sent out and wanted to give to my mom to display, so I think I spent $100? Anyway, here are some of them.
P.S. They're scanned so sorry for the bad resolution!

Flashback Friday

This is me on my first birthday, so August of 1986. You can kind of see the chicken pox on my right arm...I got my first chicken pock on my first birthday. I'm so glad I don't remember having them!

Flashback Friday

This is my cousin Robin, my sister Natalie, and me in Antioch California. This was either the summer of '98 or '99. My family took a 2 week long road trip (11 of us, in a non-airconditioned 12 passenger van.) We drove from Enumclaw to Provo, then to Parowan UT for a family reunion. We then drove to Vegas to stay with my Aunt and Uncle for the night. We left at 4am, drove through Death Valley, stayed at a KOA campground for a couple nights, then stayed at another Aunt and Uncle's house in Antioch. We got to go to Monterrey Bay Aquarium, and my older siblings and Dad got to go SCUBA diving. We then drove up the coast back to Enumclaw. I LOVED that trip. Even though it was miserable in the car, we had so much fun! We made so many memories, and met so many cousins at the reunion and just had a blast. That was the last vacation that my entire family (meaning parents and sibs) went on together. I hope I remember it forever!

Flashback Friday

For Valentine's Day 2004, Sean was in Rexburg and I was in Enumclaw. I wanted to do something creative, so I made him this "candy poster puzzle." I *think* it reads something like this. "Hey Babe! Just wanted to let you know that you're a Sweet tart. Someday after payday, we'll take a walk on 5th avenue, then we'll orbit the milky way and watch the starbursts. I wonder how I skored mounds of joy with a big hunk like you, Mr Good. You are extra skittles of fun and the memories of your snickers are worth 100 grand. Happy Valentines Day! Love, Kim"

Super cheesy I know...and I'm not even done yet. I packed this all up in a box with tons of confetti and I sent this to one of my super talented friends in Rexburg. She hand delivered the box and sang him a Valentine's day song that still do this day I have never heard. Sean loved his gift. His roommates loved me too because Sean isn't a big sweets guy so he very generously let them eat most of the candy. :)

Flashback Friday

This is me when I was 14. I don't remember exactly why I was all dressed up. Maybe it was my first time I was allowed to wear make up. Maybe it was my first stake dance. Maybe it was before my 8th grade dance. I have no clue...but I figure I'd share it anyway!

Flashback Friday

These are my school pictures from 1990, and 1992, so Kindergarten and Second grade... I remember loving both of those outfits! I wore them all of the time. Oh man, those were the days...

Flashback Friday

In my family, since there are so many of us, we draw names. Christmas of 2001 my oldest brother was on his mission in Brazil and that year he had my name. I was so excited! He sent me the coolest picture of him sliding down a super steep hill on a 2 liter bottle, while in his suit! He also sent me a Brazilian Reggae CD, and the "From Cumorah's Hill" cd that I was so bummed he took with him, and a wooden hand carved hair barette and necklace. It was the coolest Christmas! I still listen to the Reggae CD and know the tune to all of the songs, even if I don't know the words!

Flashback Thursday

I will usually do these on Friday but I know that I won't be able to do it tomorrow since we're travelling up to Washington. I figured I'd get it done today because otherwise it wouldn't happen!

When we were younger, every year for probably 13 years, my mom and dad rented a cabin at the beach. We always went to Ocean Shores and stayed for 6 days. We would build mad sand castles, bury ourselves, standing up, in the sand, play on and in the jetty, and of course, play in the waves. We would go boogy boarding, wave jumping, sea shell searching, etc. 8 or 9 years ago, the cabin that we always went to go sold. One year after that we rented a different cabin, but it just wasn't the same. Our family tries to make an effort to still go on a day trip to Ocean Shores every so often, but with it being a 3 hour drive one way, it makes it hard. Anyway, these 2 pictures are of me at Ocean Shores. (Excuse the shapes of the pictures. These were in my scrapbook I did when I was like 13 or something.)

Flashback Friday

Okay Okay Claire! I'm gonna do it...

This isn't really "flashback" because we do it every year, but the pictures are so it counts. For those of you who read my Thanksgiving post, you'll remember that my family goes "Turkey" shooting every year. Meaning, shooting targets in a rock quarry. Here are 2 pictures of me shooting very dangerous but oh-so-fun guns at our Turkey shoot. I have no idea how old I was...11? Way before I had any sense of style...I know that much!

Everett "Kamalani" Bradford Janeway

This past Sunday was a very special day for Everett. We didn't expect it to be, but it was. Auntie Shellie Nangayan is an Auntie in ...
