Brayden never took off his wings. Except to go to the bathroom or sleep!

It took him probably a half hour, but he had fun doing it. When it was all done Kyle said "It looks like Rudolph"



So they went outside and found "antlers" and glued on a red ornament for a nose, and drew eyes.

 

He even had a dogtag that said "Rudolph the Reindeer. If found, please call Santa."

Brayden was just "measuring" Asher's back. A was getting kind of fussy and B said "Yup! You're twenty ten." Asher got a smile on his face, looks up at me and says "I'm twenty ten Mom!"

When Asher woke up from his nap he was crying. I opened the door to his room and he said "Mom? I need Bayden." I told him that Brayden was at preschool so he says "K, then let's get dressed and go to Preschool."

He definitely doesn't like being away from his brother!

Brayden was jumping on the bed while I was folding clothes. He landed on top of a pile and instantly got up and said "Oh, Mom! I'm so so sorry. I'm totally sorry! I broke your piles!"

Asher is learning about emotions right now. About 20 times a day he comes up to me with this big cheesy grin and says "Mom, are you happy?" I answer and say "Yes, I'm happy" and he says "Good. I love it when you're happy. Love you Mom." Melts my heart!

2010 Recap

2010 was a good year for me. Not the best, but by no means the worst. I am able to look back on it with fondness, despite the trials and hardships that accompanied it. I feel like I am a stronger person today because of everything that I've been through in the past (not just 2010), and I'm am determined to make 2011 a year of "goodness". Before I look forward to 2011, I want to bid adieu to 2010, so I am going to recap some of the events of the past 12 months.

• Brayden read his first word
• Got my HAM Radio License
• Went on a 17 day long family vacation to California, Arizona, and Utah and got to see lots of family, friends, and the Grand Canyon!
• Ran in a 5k with my mom, brother, and friend Jessy
• Brayden turned 3
• Spent many Spring/Summer days at different parks, and at the lake
• Natalie came to visit for a week, which we spent crafting
• Picked dozens of pounds of berries that we froze, dehydrated, or made into jam
• Went to the ER for the first time
• Brayden got potty trained
• Took the boys camping for our first family camp-out
• Ran a 10k with my mom (her first ever! and my third)
• Hiked to Camp Muir on Mt. Rainier
• Ran in Hood to Coast
• My baby sister got married in the temple
• Got Pregnant with Baby boy #3!
• Brayden started Preschool
• Asher now talks in full sentences like a little man instead of "baby talk"
• Spent 2 days at Great Wolf Lodge
• Asher turned 2
• I decorated my first cake with fondant (and have done 4 total)
• Visited Medford and the Redwoods
• Smoked our first turkey which turned out amazing!

I hope that your 2010 was a memorable one, and in a good way. I hope even more so that 2011 is a year of fulfilled dreams, making memories, and bettering ourselves. Despite the trials that come my way this year, I want to be able to conquer them with a strength that I am only just now finding within myself.
