SIX things not commonly known about me!...
K guys...I did this at like midnight and some of these things I would never admit to usually...but alas, I'm tired and don't really care at the moment...so enjoy!
1. I can do some pretty mean tricks with my tongue. I can vibrate it, "swallow" it, fold it in half, and fling cheerios across the room with it... trust me, I've tried it.
2. I'm kind of afraid of stairs. I fell down cement ones when I was younger and am now always very cautious on them. I won't go down stairs unless I can see each step. If I have something in my hands that makes it so I can't see them, I stop at the top and very slowly go down one step at a time until I reach the bottom.
3. I have never seen a rated "R" movie. I've seen edited ones, but have been fortunate to never be really tempted enough to watch one.
4. I grew up on 5 acres in the foothills of Mt. Rainier. There are 9 kids in my family and we had the coolest yard. We had 3 trampolines, ping pong, fooseball, basketball, volleyball, air hockey, karaoke, a ropeswing (that you could climb a rope ladder then swing off a huge branch), a tire swing, a regular swing, tether-ball, a teeter-totter, 2 camp fire pits, a riding lawn mower, wild huckleberries, raspeberries, blueberries, apple trees, and the newest addition, a zip-line. How cool of a childhood is that? We could go out into the woods and chop down trees with our machete and build tree houses and forts. We could climb all the trees we wanted, be as loud as we wanted as late as we wanted because we didn't have any close neighbors, and stargaze as often as we wanted because it was always super dark at night. And Sean wonders why I want to move back to Enumclaw :)
5. I don't really know how to swim. Well, I know how but I can't plug my nose under water without using my fingers. Water in my face scares me (when showering, I have to be within reach of a towel because I have to wipe my face after I wash it.) I can't tread water, and it freaks me out to be in the middle of the swimming pool or lake without something to hang on to like a noodle, or kickboard or something.
6. I have never been in a job interview. I have had 5 jobs since I was 16, each of them pretty much handed to me. I worked at
Taco Time, and got that job because my best friend worked there. Then I worked at Enumclaw Stationers and Copy Center and I got that job because my mom found out they were hiring, picked up an application and they knew who I was so they hired me on the spot. (Things like that happen when you are born and raised in the same small town.) Then I worked at the
Copy Spot in Rexburg and that job was given to me when someone accidentally saw my resume. After that I worked for
Beneficial Financial Group . I was a friend of a friend of the boss, so he hired me. My last job before becoming an offical Mommy was an administrative assistant at
Aperion Audio. My mother in law was the president of the company. Their previous Admin Assistant gave them 3 days notice that she was quitting. I had just barely moved to Oregon to be closer to my fiance and they needed a quick fill. Since I was going to go look for jobs that day anyway, I decided I could fill in for a couple weeks til they found someone new. After the 2 weeks, they realized that they liked me so much that they raised my pay to more than the previous girl was making, and gave me more responsibility. Good enough for me!!!
Alright, I'm tired and I'm sure tomorrow I'll be embarassed that I admitted some of these things but oh well. I hope you guys enjoyed learning a little bit more about me!
