It was a bunch of little skits, dances, musical numbers etc. that were just a couple minutes each. Everett acted in a couple of commercials that they played on the big screen. One was for J.G. Wentworth and one was for Toys "R" Us. He also was the cameraman in the two "Weather Report" skits, was "Mikey" in the Life commercial, and was one of the adrenaline junkies in the Klondike Bar commercial.
It was a lot of hours waiting backstage between two dress rehearsals and the live show, but he had a blast. The thought of being scared while being on the stage never once crossed his mind, regardless of the theater being full or empty and he had a big smile on his face every time he ran off stage. He loved it!
We preemptively celebrated and took the family out to Ken's Pancake House for dinner beforehand. We go out to eat so rarely that it is equally exciting and nerve-wracking. Every time we do go out to eat it makes me realize just how much I need to teach my kids how to behave in public. Okay, maybe mostly Sean. Like, launching ice cubes between your fingers at Asher WILL escalate to something bigger than one ice cube being thrown. Just sayin'. ;)
Anyway, it was a fun night and I'm glad that we have so much fun spending time together as a family! And I love Everett's imagination and his love of people and making them laugh. He isn't doing acting again right now as we just started Asher and Everett both with Kajukenbo (martial arts) but it was definitely a great experience for him.
We sure do love you, Buddy!
